Exactly one month to go and this week has been full of progress. After a slow start, I finally got my official Confirmation of Enrollment from the University of Melbourne, meaning that I am now officially admitted to be one of their students for a semester. I also received my visa and booked my flights. In a month time I will be on a plane to Perth right now. I hear you thinking: "but wasn't she going to study in Melbourne?". That's right, I am definitely going to study at the University of Melbourne, but my travelling plans for my way there have changed a little. I will first be staying in Perth for a week and discover the beautiful West Coast of Australia before flying another 4,000 kilometers to Melbourne to start an interesting but intense semester abroad. When I arrive in Melbourne I will still have a week before the official start of the semester, so I have enough time to adapt to any cultural and weather changes that I will definitely encounter so far from home.
Right now, I am just really excited to go abroad and to explore this amazing country! I can't wait for my 208 days abroad!

I will hopefully use this blog to post some updates and photos on what I am doing and experiencing in Australia during my studies and my travels. Enjoy reading!

Hi there!
Great you found a way to my travel blog! Whether you are family, friends, or strangers, I am more than happy to share my experiences with you. This page will give you some more information about who am I and what I do in daily life.

So I am a 19-year-old Dutchie from a small town called Vianen, just below Utrecht. My parents and two little sisters still live there, while I commute between my room in Leiden and home. I am now in the second year of the International Bachelor in Psychology at Leiden University and really enjoy my studies. So much actually, that I also follow an extracurricular Honours track at Leiden University that gives me the opportunity to explore other disciplines and interests, like for example criminology and conflict management. Next to my studies, I also work for the Honours Academy as a student-assistant for the portfolio 'internationalization' which means that I support the Honours Academy with international activities next to general support.

So that together already is quite a busy life, but I am also always in for fun stuff! This year I organized a study trip for my fellow students with a committee from my study association, Labyrint. My friends are also really important to me and our dinner dates and gym sessions always lift my spirit. And of course my biggest hobby: travelling, of which I really cannot get enough. Check out my world map to see where I've been!

I think that's about it, I hope you enjoy reading about me and my travels abroad!

With love,
Celine
